Our house is in Jackson, NH, near many popular ski areas such as Wildcat, Attitash, and Bretton Woods. Sunday River is about 1 hour away. Also, the Jackson Ski Touring facility is a short walk from the house.

Our house is a 4400 sq. foot, well maintained, Victorian with a wraparound front porch, expanded dining hall, and large main living room with a fireplace that is often roaring in winter. Other common rooms include a Television room, bar room, and a kitchen with an industrial range where a weekend chef provides warm breakfasts and a three-course, meal on most winter weekends. We take pride in our Ski House and are diligent in it's care, so that we can all have a comfortable retreat while enjoying our outdoor adventures in and around Jackson, NH.

Our sleeping quarters are arranged with multiple beds to a bedroom and we can accomodate about 60 members/guests per night.  We house men and women on separate floors, but we all come together to socialize downstairs in the bar room or by the fire.

Who We Are

Skimos are a friendly, fun-loving group of adult outdoor enthusiasts. The majority of our members engage in alpine and/or nordic skiing, but we have some members who pursue other adventures while we are on the slopes! They might prefer snowshoeing, hiking, or ice climbing in winter, while most of our members also enjoying hiking, cycling, kayaking, or mountain biking in the other seasons. We often plan club outings-such as spring hiking to Tuckerman’s Ravine, kayaking on the Saco River, and cycling excursions. If you are an outdoor adventurer, this is the club for you!

EICSL

Our club participates in the Eastern Inter-Club Ski League (EICSL) with 22 other Ski Clubs in the northern NH area. Skimos has a race team that participates in the 4 winter races that are organized by EICSL. If you’ve never raced before, this is a fun way to try something new. There are racers of all abilities. If you are an avid racer, you will love the camaraderie, fun, and competitiveness that accompanies the race days. EICSL also gives it’s club members discounted lift tickets, discounted nordic ski passes and pre-planned trips to large ski venues out West and abroad. EICSL ski clubs also organize a rotating schedule of parties on weekends to liven up our apres ski experience!
