S-kimos Ski Racing for FUN
The last deadline to register for Ski Racing with EICSL is this Friday, January 3. If you haven’t ski raced before you shouldn’t be intimidated. It’s simply a matter of skiing around gates at whatever speed you are comfortable with. Historically the S-kimos have dominated EICSL ski racing and have won numerous awards and trophies to prove it. We took a break for Covid and are now priming to take our place atop the standings again this season.
For those of you that have raced with S-kimos in the past, some changes will make this season more fun than ever. All three Qualifying races and the Championship race will be held on Sunday mornings at either Wildcat or Attitash. You can take two runs on the race course at each of the Qualifying races. And, best of all, no more waiting for your bib number to be called. You will be assigned a number and are free to race on your own schedule.

President’s Message
We need skiers of all abilities and classes in order to score as many points as possible.
And the best part, S-kimos will pay your race fees.
You can use your Epic pass to cover your lift ticket cost.
The camaraderie amongst racers will take your ski season to a whole new level. Get off your couch and be a part of the S-kimos Race Renaissance.
First race is at Wildcat on Sunday morning, January 5th .

Race registration is now open on the website at https://www.eicsl.org/race-registration.html Members must sign up individually, clubs will not register you.
Race dates for this coming season are: 1/5 @ Wildcat, 1/26 @ Attitash, 2/23 @ Attitash, and Championship on 3/9/25 @ Wildcat. All of these dates are Sunday’s. The race program will be modeled after the TGIF races at Bretton Woods with some of the big changes being first come – first served race order, no bibs (you’ll get a number for the season) and 2 runs available (2nd run will be optional). If you don’t buy an Epic season pass I strongly urge you to buy an Epic day pass with as many days as you think you’ll race immediately. We have not been able to get them to sell day-of-race discounted tickets and in any case the price on the day passes will be far better than anything I’d expect to get even if they do decide to give them to us. Their 4 day pass costs $53/day and this offer will end on 12/2/24. The pass at that price includes Attitash, Wildcat, Sunapee, and Crotched with a 2nd pricing tier including all of their New England resorts as well as additional resorts nationally. Go to https://www.epicpass.com/passes/epic-day-pass.aspx for pricing, options and details.
Bretton Woods will continue to have their TGIF Friday race series. Complete info and registration is on their website at:
